Albania Achieves NATO Integration Objectives


News: Albania has achieved its NATO integration objectives in four years and is preparing to expand its responsibilities in the alliance. The country became a NATO member in 2009. During its integration phase, the country reorganised its headquarters, discarded extra munitions and implemented professional force development. It also printed a strategic defence review, established a new human resource management system and participated in an international mission in Afghanistan. 'We have reasons to celebrate our achievements as we also have the obligation to protect the rhythm, to keep the pace with the alliance so as to ready for future transformation challenges,' said Defence Minister Mimi Kodheli (SETimes.com).
