Android Tablets To Be Added To Hospitals To Enhance Customer Accessibility

News: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in the UAE will add around 3,000 Android tablets to hospital beds and waiting areas at primary and specialty health centres in Dubai as a part of the Dubai Smart Government initiative, according to Essa Al Maidoor, the director-general of the DHA. The move is part of the DHA's plan to build smart hospitals in the city, which will be integrated with the latest IT technology to enhance customer experience, Maidoor said. The move will provide easier access to patients searching all the services offered by the DHA along with pharmacy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services. The DHA is planning to add more tablets in the latter stages of the project and include an electronic medical records system and health information system, which will take around two to three years to be completely implemented.
