Apple And Samsung Products Boost ARM

News: UK semiconductor company ARM is likely to see its licensing boosted by Apple's new 64-bit processor-powered iPhone 5S and Samsung's support for its multi-core processing architecture, reports ZDNet. An increase in licensing for ARM will mean an increase in revenue as ARM's minimum royalty rate will be 2%, or around US$0.45, per iPhone 5S sold. In further positive news for ARM, some analysts suggested Apple's repeated use of 'desktop class' to describe its 64-bit processor may lead to the release of an ARM Mac at some stage.
