Asry Expects Increase In Revenue In 2013


News: Bahrain-based Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (Asry) is expecting to register revenue worth US$200mn in 2013 as a result of an expansion of its product portfolio, reports Gulf Daily News, citing the company's CEO Chris Potter. The official added that the yard managed to repair as many as 140 vessels in H113. The shipyard's revenue stood at US$176mn in 2012. The shipyard recorded a rise of 25% year-on-year in its revenue in the first six months of 2013. The yard presently has a workforce of 1,800 employees on its payroll, while its contractors have employed another 3,500 workers.
