Authority Awards Four Airport Development Contracts
News: Philippines' Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has awarded four contracts for the execution of various civil works at four airports in the country. D.G. Sarmenta Construction has secured a contract for the semi-permanent airport terminal project at Puerto Princesa Airport. The company had submitted a bid worth PHP21.49mn (US$496,980), less than the bid ceiling of PHP22.68mn (US$524,500). The semi-permanent terminal is scheduled to be opened by summer 2014. The Dipolog Airport Development Project, which involves the construction of river protection and runway strip grade correction, has been awarded to V.T. Lao Construction. Other two projects for the development of Zamboanga and Catarman airports have been awarded to Advance Tech Construction & Trading Corporation and Vesa Engineering and Construction, respectively.
