Bintulu Port To Offer Enhanced Services


News: Malaysia-based Bintulu Port Holdings is looking to improve the performance of its cargo handling operation in order to serve the increasing demands of its customers, according to Bintulu CEO Dato Mior Ahmad Baiti Mior Lub Ahmad. The company is mainly looking into the stevedoring operation which is likely to be upgraded soon, Ahmad added. The interim phase of the Samalaju Industrial Port project will entail the development of two barge berths and one ro-ro ramp having an annual berth capacity of 4mn tonnes. Work on the development phase is due to begin by Q214, Ahmad said (SeaShip News).
