Busan Bank To Open Branch In Ho Chi Minh City
News: South Korean lender Busan Bank is to open a branch in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The move is aimed at supporting the investment activities of Korean investors in Vietnam, according to Busan city Mayor Hur Nam-sik (Hanoi Times). Mayor expressed his hope that Vietnam's government will support the investment activities of Korean firms and promised his best efforts to assist the Vietnamese community in the country. South Korea was Vietnam's largest foreign investor in 2013, while bilateral trade turnover is on the rise, reaching US$30bn per annum. Vietnam will provide the best possible conditions for foreign investors to do business in country, according to Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.
