China Mobile Cuts 4G Tariffs To Increase Subscriber Base


News: China Mobile plans to lower the prices of its 4G TD-LTE services to increase subscriber take-up. Effective from June 1, the operator will offer 500MB of data for CNY30 (USD4.86) per month and other data tariffs will drop by up to 50%, reports Xinhuanet. Additionally, some data packages will provide up to six times more data per month at same tariff. The operator provides 4G services in approximately 200 cities and has attracted more than four million subscribers since its launch in December 2013. China Mobile had 1.23bn mobile subscribers as of end-2013.
