Committee Established To Oversee New Private Healthcare Infrastructure
News: Nigerian Minister of Health Onyebuchi Chukwu has set up a 20-person committee to oversee the development of new health facilities. The committee is led by Heirs Holdings chairman Tony Elumelu. The committee is part of the ministry's efforts to accelerate the construction of at least one world-class hospital and one diagnostic centre in each of the country's six geopolitical zones to develop private sector health infrastructure. As well as meeting Nigerians' need for services, the facilities will reverse the direction of the health tourism to the benefit of Nigeria, Chukwu said.
