Crude Steel Production Increases 54.5% In January 2014


News: Kazakhstan's crude steel output grew by 54.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 0.32mn metric tonnes (mt) in January 2014, according to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan. The country's flat steel production increased by 35.9% y-o-y to 0.20mn mt in January 2014. In the same period, Kazakhstan's iron ore output increased by 11.9% y-o-y to 4.037mn mt, while its ferroalloy production grew by 6.9% y-o-y to 0.15mn mt.
