DTAC Launches Commercial 4G LTE Mobile Data Services

News: Thai telecoms operator Total Access Communication Public Company (DTAC) has launched commercial 4G LTE mobile data services on its 2,100MHz network in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area via its subsidiary, DTAC TriNet. DTAC's network vendor Ericsson claims that the move was targeted at meeting the requirements of a data-hungry new generation of users in thickly populated areas, after an LTE rollout which commenced in February. The launch will enable DTAC to gain enhanced network capacity and improved performance in the country. The operator will also have an inexpensive network ready for continued growth in data traffic, according to a statement issued by the firm.
