DyDo DRINCO To Launch Beverage Vending Machine Facility In Moscow


News: Japan-based beverage manufacturer DyDo DRINCO is set to launch a beverage vending machine unit in Moscow, Russia, by January 2014. The company will be responsible for business management, marketing and beverage wholesale, while Avalon Group will take charge of the company's operation management of the vending machines. The company aims to expand its footprint in Moscow, as an attractive market with high levels of both consumption and income, according to DyDo DRINCO overseas operations executive officer Naokazu Hasegawa.

BMI View : Russia's soft drinks sector is consolidating , but remains relatively fragmented among a series of domestic and international players. Leading companies include a local subsidiary of the Greece-based Coca-Cola H ellenic Bottling Company , PepsiCo and Wimm-Bill-Dann , now part of PepsiCo. UK-based leading consumer packaging company Rexam acquired the Russian beverage can manufacturer Rostar, although it scaled down its operations due to a consumer demand slowdown in 2009.
