Expected Import Decline Revised To 0.5%

News: Brazil's steel imports will decline by 0.5% to 3.8mn metric tonnes in 2013, according to a revised estimate by the Brazil steel institute, IABr. IABr had previously estimated a decline of 14.4% in the steel imports. The revision comes after the country recorded the highest monthly import volume since 2010 in October 2013. In 10M13, Brazil's indirect steel imports increased 17.4% to 4.7mn metric tonnes, which is likely to significantly add to the country's total steel imports in 2013.
