Foxconn Sells Patents To Google


News: Taiwan-based Foxconn, officially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, has sold its communications technology patents to Google, reports the Wall Street Journal. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company intends to invest in technology research and development and transform its investments into valuable intellectual property assets, according to a statement by Foxconn. The firm has already applied for 128,400 patents and has received grants of 64,300 patents across the globe.
