Freeport’s Indonesian Wage Talks May End In Deadlock


News: The Indonesian unit of US mining company Freeport McMoran Copper & Gold may face disruption after a union representing workers at its Grasberg copper mine stated that wage talks were heading towards a deadlock, Mineweb reports. A union official stated that the wage deal offered by the company was too low and that no agreement had yet been reached. The current pay deal is due to expire on September 30 2013.
