Gas Pipeline To China Ready For Trial Run


News: State-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) completed construction of the Myanmar-China natural gas pipeline on May 28 2013 and is ready for a trial run, according to a statement issued by CNPC in its in-house newspaper, China Petroleum Daily. The company is also close to finishing a parallel oil pipeline, which is 94% complete. CNPC did not provide a start date for the gas pipeline, which was initially scheduled to start operations in end-May 2013. The oil pipeline is expected to come on stream in 2014.
