Google Adds Patents

News: Google is boosting its Patent Search engine by adding patents from four more sources, reports ZDNet. The company's Patent Search engine, which currently has more than 7mn US patents logged in its database, will now include copyright ownership records from Canada, China, Germany and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). Google hopes the move, which comes after it added millions of submitted patents to the European Patent Office in August 2012, will improve the quality of patents in the US and worldwide.
