Government Adopts Motor Vehicle Bill


News: The Croatian government has adopted a special motor vehicle tax bill, aimed at deterring customers from purchasing vehicles with high levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and importing older vehicles. The bill, effective July 1 2013, will promote the purchase of good quality new vehicles with low CO2 emissions. Motor vehicle taxes will in future depend upon the supply value of the vehicle and the level of CO2 it emits. The tax will apply to private vehicles only.
