Government Opens US$957mn New Port


News: The government of Cuba has opened the new port of Mariel worth US$957mn. It is located near the capital of Havana has been majorly funded by Brazilian development bank BNDES and constructed by Odebrecht. The Mariel container terminal will include a rail and highway support system and will replace Havana as the country's most significant port. Singaporean port operator PSA International will be responsible for operating the Mariel container terminal.
