Government Plans New Port On Western Coast


News: The government of Saudi Arabia has announced plans to construct a massive port on the western coast, spread in an area of 43mn sq m. The move will reportedly help in easing pressure on the Red Sea port of Jeddah and to attract investments. Land has already been allotted by the authorities for the project, to be located on the coastal Red Sea town of Al Lith, with tenders expected to be issued soon, reports Okaz. The port will be capable of receiving giant cargo ships and other vessels.
