Government To Reduce Foreign Medical Trips By Improving Healthcare Services
News: The Nigerian government will focus its 2013 budget on improving the quality of healthcare services at tertiary hospitals in the country. The move is aimed at reducing medical tourism out of the country. The government will pursue and realise more public private partnerships to discourage such trips, said Nigerian Health Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu. The government will complete outstanding projects and continue to rehabilitate and upgrade teaching hospitals in a bid to improve efficiency and create new jobs in the health sector, Chukwu added.
