Government To Revise BPJS Heathcare Tariffs

News: The Indonesian government is set to revise standard healthcare tariffs for national health insurance (JKN), managed by the Social Security Management Agency (BPJS). This comes as the government observed that the health facilities and medical workers are paid less than the cost of procedures. Health Minister Nafsiah Mboi said: 'A process is under way to revise a ministerial regulation [Permenkes] on the standard tariff of healthcare services in health facilities,' reports the Jakarta Post. Under Permenkes No. 69/2013 on the healthcare standard tariff, the agency will adopt the latest version of the Indonesia Case Based Groups (INA-CBG) tariff as its prototype for processing and paying medical claims.
