Government Unveils Port Iquique Development Project


News: The Chilean government has started the Port Iquique Development project by inviting bids for the Port Iquique Terminal 1. The tender is for the development of a third berthing facility or extension of the present one. The proposed project will need an investment of US$120-350mn. The project will enable the Iquique port to cater to New Panamax vessels, capable of transporting up to 12,000 twenty foot equivalent units.
