Health Ministry To Introduce Changes In Health Sector In 2014
News: The Polish health ministry plans to make several healthcare upgrades such as increased computerisation, the introduction of supplementary voluntary insurance, and reforms in the National Health Fund in Poland in the spring of 2014. Polish health Minister Slawomir Neumann has announced that the health ministry is developing suitable solutions such as increasing competence of family doctors to reduce patient queues across hospitals in the country. The ministry observes that patients do not need to visit a specialist for all ailments and that general practitioners should be capable of providing comprehensive care to patients. Neumann also pledged to continue the computerisation of healthcare services and to release a draft of supplementary voluntary health insurance during the spring of 2014.
