Healthcare Ministry To Spend US$80mn On Medicines


News: Belarus' healthcare ministry plans to spend more than US$80mn to purchase medicines in the country in 2014, according to Natalia Malashko, the head of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry's medicines procurement department. A substantial portion of this will be used to purchase medicines used in the treatment of cancer, including blood cancer, Malashko added. The government is planning to introduce a register of essential medicines that are used by inpatient and outpatient facilities across the country, Malashko further added.
