Hydropower Plant Starts Operating In Cambodia


News: The T120MW Atai hydropower plant started operating in the Cambodian province of Pursat. Under a 34-year build-operate-transfer concession with the Cambodian government, China Datang Corporation built the plant and its transmission line. The power plant, costing US$255mn, is expected to generate 465mn kWh of electricity a year. The US$113mn transmission grid will supply electricity Phnom Penh city, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang and Battambang provinces.
