Hyundai Secures Hydroelectric Plant Deal


News: South Korea's Hyundai Engineering secured a hydroelectric power plant contract worth US$91.3mn from Rajamandala Electric Power in Indonesia. Under the engineering, procurement and construction contract, Hyundai will build a 47MW hydroelectric plant near the city of Bandung, 150km southeast of Jakarta. The plant will provide power to Jakarta and neighbouring areas. 'Hyundai Engineering will be in charge of all facets of the project that include a water tunnel and the setting up of power cables,' according to a statement issued by the company (Yonhap News Agency). Work on the project is scheduled to be completed in March 2017.
