ICBC Registers As Bank In New Zealand


News: ICBC New Zealand, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Financial services provider the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), has become the 23 rd bank to be registered in New Zealand. The lender is currently working on setting up its first retail branch in Auckland. ICBC is considered as the largest bank in terms of asset value across the globe, with total assets of CNY18.7trn (US$3.68trn) as at June 30 2013, according to Relbank. Former Reserve Bank governor Don Brash is said to be listed as one of ICBC New Zealand directors.
