Iran And Russia Hold Talks Over Building Power Plants

News: The governments of Iran and Russia are negotiating a contract, estimated to be worth between USD8bn and USD10bn, to jointly build hydropower and thermal power plants. Under the proposed deal, the two governments will form joint ventures to build the power plants, lay transmission lines and extend supply networks. A committee has been set up by the two governments to carry out technical studies on the project.
