Keaton Registers 192% Increase In Headline Earnings Per Share


News: South African mining company Keaton Energy registered a 192% y-o-y increase in its headline earnings per share to US$0.12 for H1FY13-14 compared with a loss of US$0.21 per share in H1FY12-13. The company attributed the increase in earnings to 'outstanding' production results at its Vanggatfontein colliery in South Africa, which increased the unit's coal deliveries by 55%. The company's group revenue increased 70% y-o-y to ZAR710mn (US$69.94mn) in H1FY13-14 compared with ZAR417mn (US$41.08mn) in H1FY12-13.
