Mazda To Increase Production Of SKYACTIV Engines


News: Japanese automaker Mazda Motor is expanding its production capacity for SKYACTIV-G gasoline engines and SKYACTIV-D diesel engines at its Hiroshima plant, according to a company statement. The plant currently produces 800,000 units annually, which will be increased to 1mn units by the end of 2014 as th e carmaker aims to meet the rising demand for SKYACTIV vehicles across the world. The carmaker will also install a new engine machining line in the existing engine plant, and revamp an assembly line, which until now has been used exclusively to produce inline four-cylinder engines.
