Pacific International Lines To Revise CTP Service

News: Singaporean shipping company Pacific International Lines has announced that it will revise its CTP service, reports the Journal of Commerce. The service will in future make calls at Manila in the Philippines and Los Angeles in the US. The first vessel to sail between the two ports will be the Kota Wangi , which will depart Manila on June 20 2013. It is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles 23 days later.

BMI View: The small size of the city state of Singapore belies its stature in the global container shipping sector. The facility is one of the major global transhipment hubs, with a role to play in the East-West box shipping trade route. Massive expansion projects are planned, ensuring that the facility will be able to keep pace with developments and retain its position in the global container shipping supply chain.
