Panama Canal Receives Two Tugboats From Astilleros Armon
News: The Panama Canal has received the first two of 14 tugboats from Astilleros Armon. The move is aimed at improving the canal's resources by offering safer and more efficient service to the global shipping industry. The tugboats will reinforce the waterway's resources for operating the third set of locks and will assist post-Panamax vessels transiting the expanded canal. The remaining tugboats will arrive over the next 12 months and will raise the total tug fleet to 44 vessels by end-2014.
