Pharmaceutical Production Reaches US$1.05mn


News: Peru's pharmaceutical industry has registered production worth US$1.046mn to date, according to the National Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (ADIFAN). The country's economy is going through a boom period, and international as well as national companies can now restart operations, according to president of ADIFAN, José Enrique Silva. Silva added that the level of integration of the Peruvian pharmaceutical industry is one of the highest in the manufacturing sector with 44.4% - more than the industry average of 33%. The country has about 48 pharmaceutical industries with more than 50 employees, Silva stated.
