Phase Two Of Sangtoudeh-2 Power Plant Commences Operation


News: The second phase of the Sangtoudeh-2 power plant project in Tajikistan has been completed and connected to the country's national power grid. The plant's designing and building operations has been conducted by engineers from Iran. The Iranian contractor is expected to hand over the plant to the government of Tajikistan in 12 years. The governments of Iran and Tajikistan have invested about USD180mn and USD40mn respectively in the project. Currently, two 110MW units of the power plant are supplying power to the national grid.
