Port Qasim Records 46,451 Tonnes Of Cargo Volume


News: Pakistan's Port Qasim managed to handle 46,451 tonnes of cargo during a 24-hour period on Sunday 7 July, according to the Port Qasim Authority (PQA). The import and export volume amounted to 16,575 tonnes and 29,876 tonnes respectively. Meanwhile, berth occupancy stood at 71% on July 5, the PQA said. Additionally, the authority has claimed that two ships, carrying containers and palm oil, were moored by the authority during the last 24 hours. Another four ships loaded with containers, furnace oil, palm oil and cement also managed to reach at the outer anchorage of the port in the 24-hour period, the PQA added.
