ProInversion Receives One Bid For Metro


News: Peruvian private investment promotion agency ProInversion received only one technical and economic proposal for the US$6.5bn line 2 of the Lima metro Faucett Avenue-Gambetta Avenue. The bid was submitted by Consorcio Nuevo Metro de Lima on March 21. The consortium comprises Cosapi, Impregilo, AnsaldoBreda, Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras, Vialia Sociedad Gestora de Concesiones de Infraestructuras and Ansaldo STS. The date for the opening of the economic bid, as well as the award of contract, is scheduled for 28 March. The 35-year concession involves the construction, operation and maintenance of a 27km underground system connecting Ate, in Lima, with Callao. Work will include 26,861km of tunnel excavation and the provision of rolling stock, track systems, signalling, telecommunications, platform doors as well as non-railway installations.
