Rauma Port Records 16.3% Rise In Box Volume


News: The Finnish Port of Rauma registered a 16.3% y-o-y rise in box volume to 187,994 TEUs in January-September. The port also posted a 14.7% y-o-y jump in foreign trade to 181,096 TEUs in the same period. However, the port's total turnover declined by 3.1% y-o-y to 4.51mn tonnes in the first nine months of 2012. In the reported period, the port's exports grew by 1.5% y-o-y to 3.02mn tonnes, while its imports fell by 10.2% y-o-y to 1.41mn tonnes. Additionally, the total tonnage of coal handled climbed to 14,028 tonnes in January-September.
