Seized Counterfeit Pharmaceuticals Delivered To NAFDAC


News: The Federal Operations Unit of Nigeria Customs Service has handed over an impounded truck carrting unregistered pharmaceutical products to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). NAFDAC public relations officer Cyril Monye said the drugs, which do not have a registration number from the agency, are suspected to have been illegally imported from Pakistan, India and China. The customs department has also seized unregistered animal drugs worth NGN237,500 (US$1,504). NAFDAC has also received illegal drugs that are believed to have been manufactured in Germany and China, Monye said.
