News: UK-based property developer Redrow Homes has secured a contract from local property owner Grainger to deliver the GBP55mn (US$87.66mn) second phase of its Berewood development in Hampshire. Phase-II, comprising 250 homes, also involves the installation of infrastructure that will service the housing plots, including changes to the Milk Lane and London Road junction. 'We would hope to secure a detailed planning consent for the Berewood homes by Spring 2014 with a view to making a site start in early summer,' Managing Director of Redrow Homes (Southern Counties) John Allan said (Construction Enquirer). The homes will be built according to a consented Design Code. Berewood development also includes a community centre, two new primary schools, 100,000 sq m commercial space, health and leisure facilities, public open spaces and sports pitches.
