VW’s Chakan Plant Completes Five Years Of Operation


News: German automaker Volkswagen (VW) has successfully completed five years of production at its Chakan plant in India, reports Autocar India. This facility also serves as the automaker's headquarters in the country. The plant has made more than 350,000 units since its inception in 2009. The facility employs 3,400 workers. The plant also caters to the automaker's exports as well as serving in addition to serving the Indian market.
