Wine Producers Praise UK Buyers For Encouraging Reinvestment

News: South African fair-trade producer Kleine Zalze has praised UK buyers for agreeing not to bring down prices despite a weak rand, allowing wineries to invest in the future. Although a weak rand is allowing South African producers to make margins in recent years, wine producers have urged UK buyers to allow them to reinvest the capital to ensure the country produces better quality wines in the long term. 'We are confident in the quality of wine we can produce. That is not the problem. The problem is capital. We need to update in terms of human resources and planting', said Kobus Basson, owner at Kleine Zalze.
