Graduate Trainee – Emerging Markets Analyst

BMI seeks a high calibre graduate – minimum 2i – to become a trainee in its highly regarded Country Risk and Financial Markets team.

Do you possess
· A strong academic background?

· A keen interest in economics, world affairs and financial markets?
· A burning desire to learn and develop analytical skills?
· An ability to question existing assumptions and develop ideas?

If so, then you will have the opportunity to receive extensive training in all areas of political, economic, business environment and financial markets risk analysis. Exposure is given to the forecasting of macroeconomic data variables, as well as currencies, bonds, interest rates, equity indices and commodities. The training is a combination of rigorous hands-on guidance from senior analysts together with a structured programme of weekly seminars. The company is keen to subsidise external courses, and in particular the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.

Strong potential exists for promotion to full employment status at the end of the six months, with ongoing opportunities to further enhance analytical abilities and to take on more responsibilities within the team.
